Born and raised in the countryside before moving to the city, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. My teenage dream was to become a marine biologist, but life took a different path. Instead, I became a mother to two amazing boys, Brandon and Ashton. Ashton was diagnosed with autism at age 2, and my priority was to focus on his therapy and help him settle into school, while also being a good mother to both him and his brother.
Meanwhile, my love for animals never faded, and I always knew I would pursue that passion. At the age of 40, I decided to go back to school and pursue my veterinary assistant degree. Thankfully, with the unwavering support of my husband, Jason, and my boys, along with my friends and dear parents, I never gave up. I made it, and here I am, living my dream at FAH, forever thankful!
My love for animals begins at home with our two dogs, Buddy and Annie, our cats, Simba and Smokey, and our bearded dragons, Tika and Axel.
